一、内蒙古：北疆生态屏障与绿色发展前沿
内蒙古自治区地处中国北方，横跨东北、华北、西北，拥有广袤的草原、森林、沙漠和湿地生态系统，是中国北方重要的生态安全屏障。近年来，内蒙古持续推进生态文明建设，在库布其沙漠治理、草原生态保护、可再生能源发展、传统产业绿色转型等方面取得瞩目成就，成为中国绿色发展的重要实践区与展示窗口。
I. Inner Mongolia: A Northern Ecological Shield and a Pioneer of Green Development
Located in northern China and spanning the country's northeast, north, and northwest, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is home to vast grasslands, forests, deserts, and wetlands. It serves as a vital ecological security barrier for northern China. In recent years, the region has consistently advanced the development of an ecological civilization, achieving remarkable progress in initiatives such as the restoration of the Kubuqi Desert, grassland conservation, renewable energy development, and the low-carbon transformation of traditional industries. It has become a key demonstration zone and a window showcasing China's pursuit of sustainable development.
二、内蒙古科技大学：扎根北疆与开放融合
内蒙古科技大学建校于1956年，坐落在“草原钢城”包头市，是一所以工为主，工、理、文、管、经、法、艺等多学科协调发展的大学，在冶金、矿业、稀土、煤炭等领域特色鲜明，构建了完整的本、硕、博人才培养体系。学校坚持开放办学，已与全球30多个国家和地区的百余所高校及机构建立合作。

Founded in 1956 and located in Baotou, known as the "Steel City on the Grasslands," Inner Mongolia University of Science & Technology is an engineering-focused multidisciplinary university, with coordinated programs in science, liberal arts, management, economics, law, and arts. It is particularly distinguished in fields such as metallurgy, mining, rare earths, and coal, and offers a full spectrum of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. 三、YES项目简介
项目以“探索壮美北疆，架设友谊桥梁”为主题，由中国·内蒙古科技大学主办，是一项为期13天的深度体验项目。本项目诚挚邀请美国优秀青年，与同龄中国学子结伴同行，共同深入中国内蒙古，开启一场以“生态、乡村与城市发展”为核心主题的探索之旅。项目将通过实地参访、实践体验与沉浸式交流，让美国青少年亲身感受中国北疆在生态文明建设、绿色产业转型及乡村振兴中的生动实践。学员们将在行走中观察，在对话中思考，深度理解当代中国的发展脉搏。

III. Young Envoys Scholarship (YES) Program Overview
Centered on the theme "Exploring the Majestic Northern Frontier, Building Bridges of Friendship," the Young Envoys Scholarship (YES) is an 13-day immersive program hosted by Inner Mongolia University of Science & Technology (IMUST) in China. It warmly invites outstanding youths from the United States to embark on a journey of discovery through Inner Mongolia alongside their Chinese peers. Focusing on the themes of "Ecology, Rural Vitalization, and Urban Development," the program offers American youth firsthand insight into China's dynamic practices in ecological civilization construction, green industrial transformation, and rural development. Through field visits, hands-on activities, and deep cultural exchange, participants will observe, reflect, and engage in dialogue, gaining a deeper understanding of contemporary China's development trajectory.

五、项目申请要求
1、选拔对象：主要面向对中国发展和中国文化感兴趣的美国在读高中生、本科生、硕士及博士研究生（年龄18-30岁）。
2、报名材料：报名者需提交个人简历、动机信、在读证明、健康证明等；
3、报名时间：请于2026年5月10日前将申请材料发送至指定邮箱。录取结果将于5月下旬以邮件通知；
4、项目费用与奖学金：项目期间的课程、交通、住宿、集体餐饮、活动物料等费用由主办方承担。学员需自理国际旅费、签证及保险费。
V. Program Application Requirements
1. Eligibility
The program is open to U.S. high school, undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students (aged 18-30) with a strong interest in China's development and culture.
2. Application Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following: a personal resume/CV, a motivation letter, proof of current enrollment (or student certificate), and health certificate.
3. Application Timeline
Please send all application materials via email to the designated address by May 10, 2026. Admission results will be announced via email in late May.
4. Program Fees & Scholarships
The host institution will cover the costs of tuition, local transportation, accommodation, group meals, and activity materials during the program. Participants are responsible for their own international travel, visa, and insurance expenses.
